The "minions" are those that follow me around and do my bidding. OK, let me explain:
Long ago I had a heat stroke and several fans/friends rose up and saved my life. Later they helped with the show while I recovered, and have since evolved into a new entity. They are entertainment in and of themselves.
Thomas's trained hawkers
They help me promote my show (hawking), help with production (Setup, etc), and sometimes I incorporate them as part of the show. At many faires they are very much like a hawkers guild, where they learn the trade from me and my other hawkers.
They have separate minion names and identities, and they refer to me loudly as “Dark Lord”. No, they are not a cult; they just play one on stage.

Jayarre is full of more energy than most anyone. We found in ina crowd of people after he enthusiastically volunteered to recite a show intro in iambic pentamiter. He keeps an unending supply of energy drinks at his disposal in his trusty Skunk Bota.

Dreamie first met Thomas at the Port Angeles Pirate Festival in 2005. Ever since she has been a loyal minion and endlessly devoted to the wellbeing of "The Dark Lord". She travels with him nearly everywhere he goes, supplying stringent advertising campaigns at venues with little to no shame involved.

No, you aren't halluncinating - this minion really does have tusks and horns. Rhianna crawled out from under her bridge at Scarborough and attached herself to the Dark Lord's show one day, (a bored troll is a dangerous thing). We figured it's easier to let her help than to chase her off.
